If you have boys then you need this Stinky Boy Natural Bathroom Spray Recipe in your arsenal!
Do you have boys? If you are reading this you likely do, even if it’s the overgrown variety. So you get it right? That horrible stinky boy smell that clings to bathrooms and seems impossible to get rid of… despite trying many different cleaners and air fresheners.
Research and desperation led me to create this 2 part cleaner that removes that troublesome smell at its source, around the base of the toilet. And it actually works to dispel the smell!!! But even if you don’t have boys this is a great natural Bathroom Cleaner that will help freshen up the smell from whatever is on the floor and toilet.
Stinky Boy Natural Bathroom Cleaner Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 15 drops Lemon essential oil
- 5 drops Tea tree essential oil
- Baking soda
Supplies:
- 16-ounce glass spray bottle
- Scrub brush (designated for the commode)
Directions:
- Fill your spray bottle with white vinegar.
- Add essential oils and replace lid, shake well.
How to Use Bathroom Cleaner:
You don’t want to add your baking soda directly to the mixture in your bottle as the chemical reaction they create is part of the secret and lifting out the odors.
- When ready to tackle bathroom you are going to shake a generous amount of baking soda all around the floor at the base of the toilet- here is where your problem “puddles up” and it’s hard to get to with a mop.
- Spritz the baking soda with vinegar mixture until it is saturated and bubbling. Then allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- Come back and attack all around the toilet with a good long-handled brush. You want a toilet brush with a scrub pad if possible. Scrub right up to and even on the base of the toilet. Cleaning and disinfecting, the closer you can get to where the toilet meets the floor the fresher you can make the bathroom!
- Rinse away and wipe it up, if it is really bad you may find you need to do it more than once for build up.
Stinky Boy Bathroom Tips:
-
Use this mixture at least once a week to combat the boy smell.
-
Make sure the base of your toilet is sealed well.
-
If you have tile be sure that the grout is sealed also.
-
Wash floor rugs in bathroom weekly.
